Yes, it's finally happening! After a lengthy eight year absence, Cracker is finally returning to our television screens in a new one-off special to be screened sometime in 2005. ITV have confirmed that Robbie Coltrane will be reprising his role as Dr. Edward "Fitz" Fitzgerald and that series creator Jimmy McGovern WILL be writing the script! Click here for more info!

Cracker, which was created by Jimmy McGovern, ran as a series from 1993-1995 (with a one-off special screened in 1996 and a further special now due in 2005) and starred Robbie Coltrane as Dr Edward "Fitz" Fitzgerald, a troubled criminal psychologist bought into assist the Manchester Police Force profile and catch killers. It was a phenomenal success during it's initial screening on British Television, winning numerous awards and gaining millions of viewers. It has since gone on to establish itself as one of the best and most influential television drama series of all time. 

This is a completely 100% unofficial Cracker website and is no way associated with Granada Television, Jimmy McGovern or Robbie Coltrane. It is meant to be no more than a fan's dedication to the show and no infringement of copyright is intended; all information is provided freely for the enjoyment of other fans.
