DCI CHARLIE WISE (Played by Ricky Tomlinson)

After Bilborough's murder, DCI Wise was immediately bought in to take over and he and Beck took an immediate dislike to each other. But he seemed to develop a better working relationship with Fitz than Bilborough did, although the two still had some brief clashes of opinions. Mostly when they clashed over a suspect's guilt or innocence. Wise's approach to working though was a lot more good natured than Bilborough's. He was often willing to have a joke with Fitz, often at his expense, but also recognised Fitz's worth to him when it came down to the police work.
